    La lecture de la correspondance Ren\u00e9 Maran – Paul Manoel Gahisto (1909-1948) nous montre un r\u00e9el attachement de Maran \u00e0 sa patrie, la France. On tentera de le montrer.<\/p>\n

    Romuald FONKOUA est professeur \u00e0 Universit\u00e9 Paris Sorbonne et directeur du Centre international d’\u00e9tudes francophones Il dirige actuellement la collection \u00ab Lettres Francophones \u00bb des PUPS (Presses Universitaires Paris-Sorbonne) et co-dirige la collection \u00ab Biblioth\u00e8que francophone \u00bb aux \u00c9ditions Classiques Garnier.         Pass\u00e9e \u00e0 la post\u00e9rit\u00e9 comme \u00ab premier Goncourt noir \u00bb et \u00ab d\u00e9nonciation du colonialisme \u00bb, ce n\u2019est pas sans malentendu que se donne \u00e0 lire l\u2019\u0153uvre de Ren\u00e9 Maran, \u00ab ce brillant illustrateur de l\u2019humanisme noir \u00bb. Il est ainsi significatif que son premier roman publi\u00e9, Batouala, v\u00e9ritable roman n\u00e8gre<\/em>, ait pu \u00eatre r\u00e9duit \u00e0 sa pr\u00e9face et celle-ci d\u00e9tach\u00e9e de celui-ci pour se pr\u00e9senter comme un pamphlet anticolonialiste. En cette ann\u00e9e du centenaire du prix Goncourt 1921, il appara\u00eet n\u00e9cessaire de s\u2019appesantir sur le processus de cons\u00e9cration dont a \u00e9t\u00e9 tributaire son \u0153uvre dans le contexte de la n\u00e9gritude et de la d\u00e9colonisation (1935-1965). D\u00e8s lors, il devient possible de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 la mise en sc\u00e8ne de l\u2019\u00e9crivain dans le champ litt\u00e9raire fran\u00e7ais, aux strat\u00e9gies d\u2019entrance et d\u2019activation d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es par Ren\u00e9 Maran et sa critique.<\/p>\n

        Xavier LUCE est doctorant \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Sorbonne au sein du Centre International d\u2019Etudes Francophones (CIEF) et du Centre d\u2019\u00c9tudes de la Langue et des Litt\u00e9ratures Fran\u00e7aises (CELLF). Sa th\u00e8se, sous la direction de R. Fonkoua, porte sur Maryse Cond\u00e9 et sa critique.<\/p>\n

        15h20<\/b> \u00ab\u00a0Ren\u00e9 Maran, biographe de F\u00e9lix Ebou\u00e9 et de Bertrand Du Guesclin\u00a0\u00bb<\/i> Laure DEMOUGIN<\/b>\u00a8     <\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n

         <\/em>Ren\u00e9 Maran publie sa biographie de F\u00e9lix \u00c9bou\u00e9 en 1957 et celle de Bertrand Du Guesclin en 1959. Ces deux \u0153uvres si dissemblables, publi\u00e9es \u00e0 peu d\u2019intervalle vers la fin de la vie de l\u2019auteur, sont r\u00e9unies par leur genre : Maran s\u2019y fait le biographe de deux personnages dont il travaille \u00e0 ciseler les portraits. L\u2019un est \u00ab grand commis et loyal serviteur \u00bb, l\u2019autre \u00ab \u00e9p\u00e9e du roi \u00bb, mais tous deux r\u00e9v\u00e8lent en creux une partie de l\u2019auteur de <\/span>Batouala<\/em>. Du ton document\u00e9, pr\u00e9cis et engag\u00e9 qu\u2019il adopte dans sa biographie d\u2019\u00c9bou\u00e9 jusqu\u2019au jeu stylistique volontiers archa\u00efsant par lequel il donne voir la vie de Bertrand Du Guesclin en effet, c\u2019est par le biais de son \u00e9criture biographique que nous aimerions ici aborder les contrastes de Ren\u00e9 Maran.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Laure DEMOUGIN est actuellement enseignante-chercheuse \u00e0 l\u2019institut franco-chinois de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Renmin de Chine (Campus de Suzhou), agr\u00e9g\u00e9e de Lettres modernes et docteure en litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise, elle a  soutenu une th\u00e8se sur la presse coloniale fran\u00e7aise au XIXe si\u00e8cle. Elle travaille depuis sur des auteurs tels que Joseph Zobel et Paulette Nardal.<\/p>\n
